Wash your cashmere cardigan after wearing it 3 or 4 times.
Use a specialist wool or cashmere detergent. 
In the machine: set a wash cycle in cold water, without spinning or at minimum spin speed (never more than 500 rpm), in a laundry bag.
By hand, do not spin your cashmere cardigan, press it in a clean towel.
Then lay it flat to dry, on a towel, away from light and heat.
