assignmentNOTSHY's approach is based on the principles of sustainable development, with an approach based on the circular economy, the reduction of environmental impact and social responsibility.

CARBON FOOTPRINT

Corporate social responsibility is at the heart of our approach. We integrate social, environmental, and ethical dimensions into our practices, with the aim of having a lasting positive impact.

To this end, the MCC Group initiated its Carbon Footprint in 2023, in collaboration with Carbo, a diagnostic tool that measures the company's environmental footprint, particularly its impact on the climate.

In 2025, this approach resulted in the restitution of data, accompanied by a roadmap defining our objectives for reducing and offsetting emissions.

Our objectives :

1. Eco-design of products
2. Transport optimization
3. Support for suppliers on certifications
4. Raise awareness among all internal teams
5. Offset remaining emissions

Aware that air transport is our main source of environmental impact, we are committed to reducing its footprint by streamlining and optimizing our flows.

Starting in May 2025, our Paris and Île-de-France stores will be delivered by electric vehicle. This represents a significant step in the MCC Group's carbon reduction efforts. This initiative also aims to reduce environmental pollution in cities, as well as noise pollution, which impacts citizens' mental and physical health.

Since our beginnings, we have forged a close link between style, quality and responsibility.
Building a beautiful, sustainable and fair locker room: that’s our ambition.

Choosing the finest materials, surrounding yourself with trusted partners, promoting traceability, producing conscientiously: every decision counts.

We are moving forward step by step, with rigor and humility, to imagine a more responsible fashion, without ever giving up on style.

Because creating consciously also means creating for tomorrow.

Every choice – material, cut, production – reflects our commitment to a beautiful, sustainable and responsible wardrobe.

production

ANCESTRAL AND LOCAL KNOW-HOW

Our production is located as close as possible to the raw material, in the Mongolian region of China—the historical cradle of cashmere. This is where the Hircus goats, renowned for producing the finest and most luxurious fibers in the world, live.

The cashmere industry in China is not limited to livestock farming: it is also where ancestral textile know-how has developed, passed down from generation to generation.
Dyeing, spinning, knitting and finishing are carried out by expert craftsmen, renowned for their high standards and technical mastery.

Producing as close as possible to the source of the material reduces unnecessary transportation and therefore the overall carbon footprint. It also allows for better control of the value chain and a sustainable approach at every stage.

FUNDAMENTAL PRINCIPLES

We make it a point of honor that our partners guarantee animal welfare and collaborate only with suppliers who are all certified for cashmere.

We guarantee quality fibers selected to GRADE A (best cashmere grade) that are tested by our suppliers or internally if necessary. A production team monitors all stages of development daily with the design office and our suppliers and has implemented a Quality Standard to guarantee optimal quality.

Since the very first collections, we have favored natural materials such as cashmere, wool, cotton and even linen in the summer.

Traceability

At NOTSHY, we are moving towards more responsible fashion by increasing transparency about the origin of our pieces.
We know every key step in our production chain and ensure we work with partners who share our ethical and social requirements.

Thanks to our partnership with Trace for Good, a French traceability specialist, we are now able to provide you with detailed information on the manufacturing, dyeing and knitting of our products.
A concrete step forward, implemented since January 1, 2024, which gives you more visibility on the environmental and social impact of each item of clothing.

Thanks to a QR code on the label or directly from the product page of our e-shop, you can transparently access information related to each stage of the production chain.

Origin of raw materials, processing locations, manufacturing plants... each traceability sheet details the partners involved and indicates the traceability rating associated with the product.

Sustainable development

SUSTAINABILITY
Imagining more sustainable fashion also means considering the longevity of each piece. We encourage our customers to take care of their cashmere so it lasts longer. Care instructions are available on our website and in-store to preserve the quality of the knitwear.

In our approach, sustainability goes beyond parts: it also applies to the relationships we build. Some of our partners have been with us for many years, sharing our high standards and our commitment to continuous improvement.
We therefore favour solid and committed collaborations, while actively working to develop new, closer partnerships in Europe and the Maghreb.

At NOTSHY, we believe in pieces that last, in clothes that we love, that we keep and that we can pass on.
In this desire to extend the life of our creations, we are working on setting up an alteration and repair service, in partnership with Tilli, for 2026. Objective: to support our customers in a more conscious and sustainable fashion, always with style.
Thanks to the expertise of qualified craftsmen, this service will allow you to adjust, repair or maintain your NOTSHY parts with care.

CIRCULARITY
Since 2021, through the Recycle Your Cashmere operation, NOTSHY has been a collection point in a cashmere fiber recycling circuit.
This initiative enabled us to resell or donate 1,630 kg of 100% cashmere material for recycling in 2024. In this approach, we chose committed French or neighboring companies to minimize the material's travel time.

Our partners: Progetto Lana, an Italian recycler, and Cashmere Collective Lab, a social and solidarity enterprise that, after sorting and cleaning the items, ships them to Filature du Parc, a French spinner recycler.

Packaging

Since 2022, we have been informing consumers of the end of product life by implementing Triman pictograms and sorting signs on all products and packaging.

All our e-commerce and store packaging is made from FSC® (Forest Stewardship Council®) certified paper, meaning it is made from wood fibers from responsible and sustainable sources.

We are working to reduce our plastic packaging in the production chain and reuse those still in the circuit - as well as cardboard and tissue paper - for internal use, on our retail and online networks or for supplier reshipments.
We are working to replace plastic with recycled materials.

DIVERSITY & INCLUSION
At MCC, we believe the diversity of our teams is a true strength. We strive every day to create an inclusive environment where everyone feels respected, heard, and encouraged to give their best. Valuing differences and ensuring equal opportunities are fundamental principles that shape our corporate culture.

PREPARING THE FUTURE TOGETHER
At MCC, we are committed to opening our doors to young talent. Each year, we welcome numerous interns seeking career insights and apprenticeships. Our goal is to offer them a first-hand experience of the professional world, to support them throughout their career paths, and to give them every opportunity to succeed in their careers. We believe that passing on our expertise and sharing our daily lives with younger generations helps prepare us for the future and enrich our company with new perspectives.

BECOME ACTORS & COMMITTED
The MCC Group is committed to an active awareness-raising approach by offering its employees ongoing training on CSR issues and best practices in responsible communication.
Several sorting days have been organized in our warehouse to revalue our dormant stocks, either by donating them to our spinning and recycling partners, or by reintegrating them into the sales circuit. By the end of 2025, participatory workshops—such as the Circular Economy Mural—will be organized for the head office teams, and an eco-friendly guide will be distributed to all store managers at the start of the school year and then shared with the head office teams.

compliance

Since 2020, NOTSHY has been learning about compliance with the AGEC law: a law aimed at reducing waste and implementing more circularity in production models in order to reduce tensions on raw materials.

Since 2022, NOTSHY has become a member of the following eco-organizations:

• Re-fashion for the TLC sector (Textiles, Household Linens and Footwear).

• Citeo for the packaging and consumables sector.

Annual eco-contributions are paid by the MCC group in proportion to the items sold.
These funds help finance Re-fashion's circular projects: recycling, resale, repair, but also research & development, training for textile industry players and raising awareness among consumers.
